Frank Forgnoni, O.D., FCSO, FCOVD specializes in treating the visual disorders associated with ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities and brain injury. In May, 1998 he began his unique solo optometry practice dedicated to in-depth vision examinations and vision therapy in Newark, Delaware. In 2005, he was the Clinical Director of an international vision therapy company in Boca Raton, Florida. In April, 2006 he re-located and started a new, state-of-the-art office in Pendleton, South Carolina.

Dr. Forgnoni is one of only four optometrist in the state of South Carolina who is Board Certified in Vision Development and Vision Therapy. His advanced training uniquely enables him to serve children and adults, especially those with complex visual disorders. He gives careful evaluation and treatment of visual disorders associated with ADD/ADHD, Autism, Brain Injury, Dyslexia, Lazy Eye, Learning/Reading Disabilities, and Mental Retardation. Dr. Forgnoni is certified by PRIO corporation to treat Computer Vision Syndrome. He has lectured and authored on many vision related topics.

Dr. Forgnoni is a member of the American Optometric Association's Sports Vision Section, and he has volunteered in 1997 for the Jr. Olympics Vision Evaluation Team. His unique training in vision therapy can dramatically improve sports vision performance for athletes of all ages.

Dr. Forgnoni is also certified by Bausch & Lomb in Vision Shaping Treatment (VST). VST enables patients to wear rigid contacts at night while the cornea is gently flattened and re-shaped. Then, in the morning the contacts are removed, and the patient's vision is improved without the need to wear glasses or contacts throughout the day. For many patients this is a safer and more economical alternative than laser surgery.

Dr. Forgnoni is one of approximately 250 optometrists nationwide who provides neuro-optometric rehabilitation for individuals with brain injury. In 1999 and 2000, he presented case reports involving acquired brain injury at national vision symposiums in Washington, D.C. In 2001, Dr. Forgnoni received his Fellowship in the College of Syntonic Optometry. In 2004, Dr. Forgnoni received his fellowship in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
