I wanted to make sure those reading the reviews understand how wonderful the Cook Vision Center is with the needs of vision problems. I think that TGG EastCobb should probably focus more on his daughter's vision and less on the look of the office. I don't think an "old" feel to the office would keep me away from helping my child. The technology seems to be appropriate for vision correction and success of this office. I grew up in the 90's so the office was fine for me! My daughter is also in the gifted program at school. She is in 4th grade and I never knew she had a vision problem till our regular eye visit confirmed convergence insufficiency. I took her to see Dr. Cook and he said she was smart enough to adjust but it could cause a problem as she got older. We started therapy and she was finished in a little over 6 months. She is still a high achiever at school and will continue to be as she advances. Thank you Cook Vision Therapy Center! The office staff is wonderful! I wouldn't worry about the look of the office just the help your child will receive!

My son has been with Dr. Cook for 4 months now. It is amazing to see the difference! He is labeled " gifted " and now with the visual issues being corrected, he is soaring!

About Us

Patients travel across the nation to see Dr. David Cook for one reason: expertise.

Not only is Dr. Cook residency trained and board certified in optometric vision therapy, he has served on the national and international examination boards that do the certifying.  He has appeared on television, authored books, and won awards for papers appearing in national peer-reviewed journals.  He trains doctors from around the world.

Most importantly, Dr Cook has thirty years of experience in tailoring vision therapy to meet the needs and goals of each patient.  It is one thing to provide vision therapy.  It is quite another to select the exact mix of needed visual abilities and to work them until they are completely mastered, changing lives: not just temporarily, but year after year.

Why allow any of the following to continue to describe your life?

  • Your bright child struggles with reading.
  • You are losing the homework wars: twenty minutes of homework takes hours.
  • Headaches and eyestrain persist even though a routine eye exam uncovered no problem.
  • You or your child loves books but hates reading.
  • Poor depth perception interferes with driving, sports, or confidence.
  • Your eyes won’t stay straight.  You are tired of surgery and patching.
