About Us
Here at Child and Family Vision Center, we specialize in pediatrics and vision therapy. We are dedicated to assisting patients with numerous visual problems.
Some of the various vision complaints we can help with include; double vision, variable blurry vision, eye strain or fatigue, issues with eye tracking problems, crossed eyes, lazy eyes, residual vision issues after concussions or more significant brain injuries.
Our doctor, Dr. Erik M. Romsdahl, is very dedicated to his patients. He is able to offer full vision examinations and can help you get the correct prescription so that you can see perfectly. He is also here for you any time you are having trouble with your eyes.
Dr Erik Romsdahl can diagnose and treat many common and uncommon eye conditions to ensure that you get the relief you deserve.
Our Team
Dr. Erik Romsdahl
I grew up near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I graduated from Iowa State and went to optometry school in Memphis.
After graduating from the Southern College of Optometry, I did a one-year residency in pediatric vision care, vision therapy, and vision rehabilitation. I moved back to Iowa after completing my residency in 2011, and opened Child and Family Vision Center that same year.
I currently live in Ames with my wife, Kristie, our two boys Izak and Konnor, and our two cats Walter and Dr. Claw.
In my free time, I enjoy watching Iowa State football and basketball, the Bears, and riding my bike in preparation for RAGBRAI every year.
