Dr. Tracey Curry graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1996. With over two and a half decades of experience, her goal is to enhance the visual well-being of her patients.

Dr. Curry enjoys gardening and culinary pursuits, embodying a well-rounded and caring approach to her professional and personal life.

Dr. Donaldson grew up in Kamloops where she enjoyed many different activities from swimming at Shuswap Lake to skiing at Tod Mountain. 

She earned a BSc. in biological sciences from the University of Redlands in 1991 (Cum laude). Inspired by the positive interactions she’d had with her own optometrist, she decided to pursue a career in optometry.  Dr. Donaldson earned her Doctor of Optometry in 1995 from the New England College of Optometry (Boston).  Eager to learn more about pathology and eye disease, she completed a hospital-based residency in Primary Care at the New England Eye Institute. This turned out to be an incredible experience which ignited her passion for pushing the limits of optometry and advocating for its prominent place in healthcare.

Dr. Donaldson has been in private practice in B.C. since 1996.  She loves clinical care and the privilege of caring for her patients’ eyes, vision, and overall health. Dr. Donaldson has treated patients suffering with dry eye for many years, and enjoys the challenge of helping them with an empathetic and personalized approach.

Since 2000, she has been involved in  supporting our profession both with the Association and in regulation. Dr. Donaldson was an elected member of the College Board from 2014-2023, and Chair of the Board from 2020-2023.  Dr. Donaldson was presented with the BC Doctors of Optometry  President’s Award in 2022, for excellence in service to the profession.

Community service and inclusion have been a priority for Dr. Donaldson and the entire team at White Rock Optometry, including support for the new Peace Arch Hospital ER,  Sources Women’s Place, and our local highschool science students.

Married to Dr. Brad Seely, they are proud parents to three children.  Outside of clinical care, Dr. Donaldson enjoys travelling, running, art, and cooking.

Dr. Natasha Grewal, a dedicated eye care professional, was raised in Surrey, B.C. She obtained her BSc in Biology from the University of British Columbia prior to obtaining her Doctor of Optometry with distinction from Pacific University in Oregon. She has  experience and a strong interest in myopia control.

Dr. Grewal balances her professional and personal life. She is actively involved in community outreach, emphasising an active lifestyle and holistic eye care. She and her husband are parents to two young daughters.

Dr. Juliana Jarvis grew up in Chino Hills, California. She studied at the University of California, San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, with honours. She attended the State University of New York, College of Optometry, graduating with honours, in 2013.

Dr. Jarvis cherishes family moments alongside her interests which include travelling, yoga, pilates, and photography. With dedication to safeguarding her community's vision, Dr. Jarvis strives to make a positive impact through her expertise and heartfelt care.

Dr. Kelsey Snow grew up in Surrey, BC and obtained a BSc in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (with honours) from Simon Fraser University. She travelled east for a few years to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo, but the ocean and mountains called her back to the West Coast. 

With recognition for Excellence in Patient Care in 2015, Dr. Snow is committed to providing a personalized experience for folks of all ages; as a mother of two young daughters, she has a special interest in pediatric eye care and myopia management. Her involvement in optometric service trips, including volunteer work in Paraguay and Jamaica, showcases her dedication to community service.

Dr. Snow balances her professional and personal life through diverse interests like volleyball, downhill skiing, baking, and travelling with her family.

Dr. Renu Saran, a seasoned eye care professional from Surrey, B.C, pursued her academic journey at Simon Fraser University and the Pacific University College of Optometry. With over 15 years of dedicated service, Dr. Saran's comprehensive approach to eye care reflects her passion and commitment. 

Dr. Saran is also a loving wife and mother who enjoys travelling and creating memories with family and friends.

Dr. Renu Saran embodies a holistic approach to eye care, blending experience, empathy, and a genuine passion for the well-being of her patients.

Dr. Evelyn Lo obtained her Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University and pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. In her final year of studies, she completed an intensive ocular disease rotation at the No. 1 ranked Eye Hospital in the United States, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. She graduated with distinction and was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Award for her exceptional service and commitment to optometry.  

In her spare time, she participates in conducting research studies and volunteers with AMIGOs Eye Care, serving as a supervising doctor on mission trips overseas. Internationally, she collaborates with the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center in Guangzhou, China to provide continuing optometric education to doctors and medical students. In recognition of her efforts, Dr. Lo was awarded the Young Optometrist of the Year by the BC Doctors of Optometry in 2020.

Dr. Lo is not only passionate about each patient’s vision but is also a strong advocate for ocular health and the prevention of eye diseases. She enjoys all aspects of optometry but is especially interested in treating dry eyes, myopia management, and ocular disease. Dr. Lo is the current Vice-President of BC Doctors of Optometry. 

Outside of optometry, Dr. Lo is an avid LEGO collector and loves to build LEGO modular buildings. Her other hobbies also include badminton, baking, kayaking, photography and world travel.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Scott Lake, who will be providing locum coverage during Dr. Snow's maternity leave.

Dr. Lake was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and grew up in Barrie. He attended the University of Waterloo, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours and then moved to Boston where he received his Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry, graduating as a member of BSK (honors list).

He completed his 4th year rotations at the Newport, Rhode Island Naval base as well as several clinics throughout the Boston area. He has been fortunate to live and practice in many cities across North America including: Hartford, Vancouver, Phoenix, Barrie, Mississauga, Scottsdale, Goodyear and now Vancouver for a second time.

Scott considers himself a lifelong learner. His interests outside of optometry include music, sports, theology and languages - mainly French and Mandarin. He keeps busy spending time with his family that includes his wife and two boys. Scott feels blessed to be back in Beautiful British Columbia to live and provide optometric eye care services.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Jiani Lin, who will be providing temporary locum coverage during Dr. Snow's maternity leave.

Dr. Jiani Lin grew up in Richmond and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia. She then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree in Chicago at the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating with summa cum laude honours. She was a part of Tomb & Key Honours and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honours Societies.

Dr. Lin moved to Boston to complete her post-graduate optometry residency in Ocular Disease and Contact Lenses at Massachusetts Eye and Ear with Harvard Medical School. She received training on complex corneal conditions and fitting specialty contact lenses for these patients.
