Our Team
Dr. Christopher Fitzpatrick, O.D.
Dr. Christopher Fitzpatrick earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2013, graduating with Dean's Honours and receiving the Dr. Michael Gutwein Award for leadership. Before pursuing optometry, he completed an Honours in Biology from the University of New Brunswick in 2009. Originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Dr. Fitzpatrick now proudly calls Waterloo home and is excited to serve the local community.
Dr. Fitzpatrick completed internships in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Bethesda, Maryland, and gained valuable experience practicing in Moncton before settling in Waterloo. He provides quality eye care and has a special focus on pediatrics, ocular disease, and dry eye treatment.
His passion for helping others extends beyond the clinic—Dr. Fitzpatrick has provided eye care in developing countries like Ecuador and even worked in a hospital emergency room in Malawi, Africa. He looks forward to continuing his volunteer work in the future.
Outside of the office, Dr. Fitzpatrick enjoys staying active. He loves a good challenge, whether on the hockey rink, golf course, or soccer field. He is also an avid hiker, having reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, and is already thinking about his next adventure—perhaps Everest?
Dr. Lindsey Pardys, O.D.
Dr. Lindsey Pardys earned her Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Waterloo in 2009. Upon graduation, she was honoured with the Karen Tompa-Nowy Award for her compassionate approach to patient care. Originally from Northwestern Ontario, Dr. Pardys is excited to serve the Kitchener-Waterloo community, where she and her husband have lived for over ten years.
Before settling in the K-W area, Dr. Pardys gained valuable clinical experience in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan. She focuses on contact lenses, children’s vision, and the treatment of eye diseases. She is also an affiliate of TLC Laser Eye Centres and has completed additional training to offer pre -and post-operative care for laser eye surgery patients.
Outside of optometry, Dr. Pardys and her husband love spending time outdoors, whether playing ultimate frisbee, volleyball, or simply walking. When she’s not chasing after her four young boys, she enjoys curling up with a good book.
Dr. Susan Beaton, O.D.
Dr. Susan Beaton graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1991. She started her career in Woodstock, Ontario, where she spent three years providing full-scope eye care. In 1993, she moved back to the area and ran her own practice in downtown Kitchener for over 15 years.
For the past three years, Dr. Beaton has worked as a clinical instructor at the University of Waterloo’s School of Optometry, where she enjoys mentoring and teaching future optometrists. Besides her practice, Dr. Beaton had the unique experience of serving as an on-set optometrist during the filming of Defiance, a science fiction mini-series filmed in Toronto.
Patients recognize Dr. Beaton for her compassionate and thorough care, as she always gives them the attention they need. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, cross-country skiing, and relaxing with her Golden Retrievers
Dr. Patricia Lambros, O.D.
Dr. Patricia Lambros graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2015. She also earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the same university. Originally from Mississauga, Dr. Lambros and her family now call the Kitchener-Waterloo area home.
While studying, Dr. Lambros gained clinical experience through internships in Toronto and Baltimore, Maryland. Before joining Waterloo West Optometry, she practiced in Mississauga, Stratford, and at a refractive surgical centre. Dr. Lambros is interested in pediatric eye care, contact lenses, eye disease, and refractive surgery co-management.
Dr. Lambros has taken part in mission trips to Mexico and Nicaragua with VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity), providing eye care to underserved communities.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Lambros enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two young children. She is excited to be a part of the Waterloo West Optometry team and looks forward to caring for patients of all ages.
