Welcome to Vision Care Consultants, your trusted eye doctor in St. Louis, MO, delivering cutting-edge eye care since 1972. Located near Tesson Ferry and proudly serving South County and the greater St. Louis area, we offer personalized, advanced vision services for all ages—from toddlers to seniors.
At VisionCare Consultants we have a responsibility to educate our patients and provide options to improve their quality of life and protect them from vision-related pathologies. We use the highest quality materials and personal styling to dispense our patient’s designed eyewear. Our goal is to earn the trust of our patients by providing these services with the utmost integrity and professionalism.
We provide comprehensive eye exams, treat eye disease, and offer specialty contact lens fittings. Tending to our patients’ vision is only part of what we do. Our optometrists learn our patients’ daily routines, body health, social, and sports activities to better understand their vision requirements. Through investigation and science, we use innovative technology, excellent service and a caring team to develop optimal patient outcomes.

David B. Seibel, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Seibel is a native of the St. Louis area. He attended Chaminade College Preparatory and continued his studies at the University of Missouri - St. Louis, majoring in biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1987 at the University of Missouri - St. Louis School of Optometry and he began practice here at Vision Care Consultants.Dr. Seibel’s wife, Laura, is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in advertising. They have three children, Lauren, Nicholas and Andrew. Dr. Seibel is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is past President of the Missouri and the Heart of America Regional Chapters of the American Academy of Optometry as well as past president of the St. Louis Optometric Society. As a Diplomate of the Cornea & Contact Lens Section of the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Seibel shares this distinction with fewer than 200 doctors worldwide. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and he served as chair of the AOA Contact Lens & Cornea Section for 2004-2005. Dr. Seibel was honored by the American Optometric Association with the 1996 National Young Optometrist of the Year Award. He also received the Missouri Optometric Association’s 1996 Young Optometrist of the Year Award. These awards are given based on leadership in optometry and service to the community.Along with these distinctions, Dr. Seibel has been named as a University of Missouri - St. Louis 1996 Distinguished Alumni, the highest award given by the University to its alumni. For his many contributions to the profession, Dr. Seibel was elected by his peers as a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academy of Practice in 2006. Currently, less than 100 optometrists have been awarded this honor.He is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member of the Washington University School of Medicine - Department of Ophthalmology and lectures both nationally and internationally at optometry schools and educational meetings.Along with our other doctors, Dr. Seibel has provided eyecare for the St. Louis Rams and continues to provide eyecare for the St. Louis Blues.
