VIEW Optometry - Temple

Dr. Michael Goering is a Therapeutic Optometrist, Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude, and completed a residency in Primary Care and Traumatic Brain Injury Vision Rehabilitation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. Dr. Goering also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Southern Virginia University.

A U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Goering has served in various clinical care roles across military medical centers, including as an optometrist at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. He is a member of the American and Texas Optometric Associations and has a strong clinical interest in neuro-optometry, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, sports vision, and ocular disease management.

Dr. Lauren Bowman is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for every stage of life. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry after graduating summa cum laude from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Health Communication.

Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Bowman developed experience in diagnosing and managing ocular disease, treating dry eye, fitting specialty contact lenses, providing  pediatric eye care, and co-managing patients before and after eye surgery. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. Her professional interests include ocular disease, dry eye therapy, contact lens care, and helping individuals and families maintain lifelong eye health.
