VIEW Optometry - Killeen

Dr. John Mark McGullion is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist who provides comprehensive, personalized care to patients of all ages. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is a proud member of both the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Originally from Alabama, Dr. McGullion was inspired to pursue optometry by his father, who is also an optometrist. His clinical interests include ocular disease management, contact lenses, and primary eye care. He is known for his calm, thoughtful approach and dedication to patient education. Dr. McGullion is proud to serve the Central Texas community as part of the VIEW Optometry team.

Dr. Larry E. Kocian, Jr. is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered eye care. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science and Anthropology from Baylor University.

While at the University of Houston, Dr. Kocian was recognized for academic achievement and leadership, earning membership in both the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Societies. He is a member of the American and Texas Optometric Associations and currently serves as President of the Heart of Texas Optometric Society. His clinical interests include specialty contact lens services, ocular disease management, and pediatric eye care.

Dr. Michael Goering is a Therapeutic Optometrist, Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude, and completed a residency in Primary Care and Traumatic Brain Injury Vision Rehabilitation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. Dr. Goering also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Southern Virginia University.

A U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Goering has served in various clinical care roles across military medical centers, including as an optometrist at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. He is a member of the American and Texas Optometric Associations and has a strong clinical interest in neuro-optometry, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, sports vision, and ocular disease management.
