Our Team
Dr. April Oliver
Dr. April Oliver earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Texas and graduated with honours in 2008. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2012, where she was also certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
During her training, Dr. Oliver completed clinical rotations at several prestigious institutions, including Berkeley Eye Center, Texas Eye Institute, Good Neighbor Clinic, Golden Eye Clinic, and Lehmann Eye Center in Nacogdoches. She received Letters of Excellence in Family Practice and was awarded the Nick Stoyan Memorial Grant for her work in orthokeratology.
Dr. Oliver joined Today’s Vision Tomball in 2014 and became the practice owner the following year, succeeding founder Dr. Donald Glenz. In 2019, she was elected to the Today’s Vision board of directors and became Chairman of the Board in 2021.
Passionate about advancing private practice optometry, Dr. Oliver mentors colleagues, lectures to local groups on eye health and specialty lenses, and advocates for expanding the scope of optometric care. Her clinical interests include dry eye treatment, co-management of LASIK and cataract surgery, and specialty contact lens fittings—including multifocal, prosthetic, keratoconus, and post-surgical lenses. She also enjoys seeing pediatric patients and strives to make each visit relaxed and easy to understand for children and parents alike.
Outside the office, Dr. Oliver enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants and recipes, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and fellow professionals.
Dr. Anna Khoja
Dr. Anna Khoja was raised in Nederland, Texas, and graduated with honours from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating summa cum laude. While in school, she was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, named a Student Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and received multiple merit-based scholarships and a Letter of Excellence in Family Practice.
Dr. Khoja received advanced clinical training in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses through her rotations at Community Eye Center in Fort Worth, Space Center Eye Associates in Clear Lake, and HOPE Clinic in Houston. She also gained valuable experience providing eye care to underserved populations.
With a strong interest in public health, Dr. Khoja focuses on delivering comprehensive, educational eye exams that empower patients to understand and care for their vision. She practices the full scope of optometric care, including the medical management of eye diseases, using evidence-based strategies to help patients protect and maximize their sight.
Fluent in Urdu, Dr. Khoja is proud to care for patients who prefer to communicate in their native language.
Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring Houston’s food scene, listening to podcasts, watching TV, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Adrian Velasco
Dr. Adrian Velasco is a dedicated optometrist passionate about helping patients achieve clear vision. With a background in myopia management, specialty contact lenses, and family eye care, Dr. Velasco takes a personalized approach to patient care, ensuring each individual receives the best possible treatment for their unique vision needs.
Education & Professional Experience
Dr. Velasco earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemical and Biophysical Sciences from the University of Houston before pursuing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During his time in optometry school, he was recognized with multiple Letters of Excellence for his work in the Family Practice and Contact Lens Clinics.
His passion for myopia management and specialty contact lenses began early in his career. As a founding member of the Myopia Management Summer Immersion internship program, Dr. Velasco developed a deep understanding of slowing myopia progression in children using specialty lenses and eye drop therapies. He later established and led the Contact Lens Club.
Dr. Velasco gained valuable hands-on experience through his clinical training at Bellaire Family Eye Care, UH Eye Center at the Heights, Vision One Eyecare, and Clear Lake Eye Center.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Velasco enjoys exploring new places, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Parnaz Adibian
Dr. Parnaz Adibian earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. She also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health.
Her clinical training included a pediatric rotation at Texas Children’s and Women’s Center in Houston and an ocular disease rotation at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas. She is especially passionate about working with children and takes extra care to make young patients feel at ease—particularly during their first eye exam, typically recommended between ages 3 and 4.
Dr. Adibian is a therapeutic optometrist and certified glaucoma specialist with clinical interests in pediatric care, myopia control, contact lenses (including Paragon-certified overnight corrective lenses), vision therapy, and comprehensive eye health management for all ages.
She is known for her calm, approachable communication style and strives to make each visit informative and comfortable. Dr. Adibian is fluent in Farsi and also offers exams in Spanish.
Dr. Khanh Pham, O.D.
Dr. Khanh Pham provides comprehensive, patient-centered vision care for patients of all ages. With advanced training in pediatric optometry, myopia management, specialty contact lenses, and ocular diseases, she focuses on early detection, preventive care, and customized treatment solutions tailored to each patient’s needs.
Her approach to optometry is focused on education and innovation, ensuring every patient understands their eye health and treatment options.
Whether she’s fitting a child for ortho-k lenses, managing a patient’s glaucoma, or treating dry eye syndrome, Dr. Pham combines technology with a warm, personalized approach to care.
Dr. Shelby Gross, O.D.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Dr. Gross graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, where she developed a deep appreciation for the intricate connection between the brain and the visual system. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston, graduating cum laude.
Throughout her education and advanced clinical training, Dr. Gross sought diverse experiences to develop expertise in comprehensive eye care. She completed externships with an emphasis on family eye care and ocular disease, refining her skills in diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions. She then completed a residency at the VA Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, where she gained extensive experience caring for patients with complex ocular and systemic diseases and furthered her understanding of the relationship between overall health and vision.
Dr. Gross practices full-scope optometry and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. She has a particular interest in specialty contact lens fittings, including rigid gas permeable (RGP) and scleral lenses, as well as challenging soft contact lens fittings for patients with high astigmatism or multifocal vision needs. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their best possible vision through personalized care and carefully tailored treatment options.
Outside of the office, Dr. Gross enjoys spending time with her husband, Brady, their daughter, Maxine, and their cat, Charlie. She also loves traveling, listening to music, and exploring new restaurants.
