St. Joe Vision

Dr. Martin White is the owner and founder of St. Joe Vision.  The original practice was located on East State Blvd. but he designed and built the current building on Maplecrest Road over 20 years ago, with a major renovation and expansion 10 years ago.  Dr. White received his B.S. and Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University in 1991.  He completed academic clinical rotations at Colmery O’Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, KS as well as the Naval Medical Center in Quantico, VA. and has been certified in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease.

Dr. White is a long time member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Indiana Optometric Association.  Dr. White has three grown children, Allison, Patrick and Isabelle.  In his free time, Dr. White enjoys traveling, playing golf, lake time with family and working out.  He has been married to his wife Lisa for 30 years.

Dr. Mitchell Minix grew up in North Judson, IN and received his B.S. in Business from the Kelley School of Business and his Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University. At Indiana University he was trained in specialized contact lens fittings, pediatric care, and ocular disease management. He completed his clinical rotations at Eye Surgeons of Indiana in Indianapolis and the Department of Veteran Affairs in Evansville. Dr. Minix has been married to his wife, Katie, for 10 years. He’s the father of four energetic children. Outside of the office, Dr. Minix enjoys running, singing, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Derek Price is a Fort Wayne native. He received his B.S. in Microbiology and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. He previously practiced in Marion, IN for 5 years where he fit specialty contact lenses, treated ocular disease and saw patients of all ages. Dr. Price is excited to practice in his hometown and is a proud graduate of South Side High School where he met his wife, Nickala. Together they have one son, Archer. In his free time, Dr. Price enjoys weightlifting and spending time with his family.
