Since 2024, Seesaw Vision Center has provided vision care to Livingston and surrounding communities. Its team offers comprehensive eye exams and vision correction using advanced diagnostic technology, along with a selection of designer frames and precision lenses.
Our Team
Dr. Clare Tao, O.D.
Dr. Clare Tao, earned her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Applied Mathematics from Stony Brook University. She went on to work as a vision therapist with developmental optometrists for a year to help children with binocular visual dysfunctions. This work experience inspired her to become an optometrist. She received her optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry. Toward the end of her five years of training, She found her passion in custom specialty contact lenses and myopia management.
Today, she dedicates her works in private practice settings and focuses on designing custom lenses to control myopia progression in children and restore sight for patients with irregular corneas and ocular surface diseases.
Dr. Sylvia Qiong Chen, O.D.
Dr. Chen graduated with honors from the State University of New York, earning her Doctor of Optometry degree. Before her studies in the U.S., Dr. Chen practiced as an ophthalmologist in China for several years, bringing valuable experience to her current practice.
Dr. Chen also conducted research on secondary cataract prevention and advanced refractive surgery, earning her a master’s degree in vision science. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (AAOMC) and has a particular passion for children’s eye care and myopia control. Dr. Chen has demonstrated her expertise and met the requirements of the International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, earning the prestigious IACMM certification in myopia management.
Drawing from her experience as an ophthalmologist in China, Dr. Chen possesses expertise in various areas of eye care, including dry eye disease, glaucoma and cataract management, eye infection treatment, diabetic and hypertensive eye disease management, and other ocular conditions.
Dr. Chen resides in Millburn, New Jersey, with her two daughters and a beloved dog. During her leisure time, she enjoys hiking and gardening.
Dr. Annie Liang, O.D.
Dr. Annie Liang is excited to join the team at Seesaw Vision Center, where she is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care for children and families. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry and further advanced her clinical training through a residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at the Illinois College of Optometry.
Following residency, Dr. Annie Liang worked closely alongside a strabismus surgeon, gaining valuable experience in the pre- and post-operative care of pediatric and adult strabismus patients. This collaborative experience deepened her expertise in binocular vision disorders and strengthened her commitment to helping patients achieve comfortable, functional vision.
Her clinical interests include myopia management and vision therapy, with a special focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment for children. Known for her patience, warmth, and gentle approach, Dr. Liang strives to make every child feel comfortable and cared for during their visit.
Outside the office, she enjoys cuddling with her cats and singing in her free time.
