Nancy Choo, M.D., F.A.A.O. is specialty-trained in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery. Her training included on Ophthalmology residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in Manhattan, as well as a Corneal fellowship at the Mount Sinai Medical, also in New York City. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Geeta Garg is a vitreoretinal surgeon and uveitis specialist at Advanced Eye Care Center.

Dr. Garg graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience.  She then earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.  While in medical school Dr. Garg was presented with the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement award – the American Medical Women Association’s award for scholastic achievement.  Dr. Garg completed residency training in ophthalmology at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington DC, where in 2003-2004 she served as Chief Resident. Following residency training, Dr. Garg undertook a uveitis and ocular immuniology fellowship at the Nathional Eye Institute/National Institutes of Health, followed by a 2-year vitreoretinal fellowship at The National Retina Institute.

Dr. Garg has extensive experience in clinical research, including serving as a clinical research coordinator in the Department of Ophthalmology at George Washington University Medical Scheool, and a research internship at the Royal Free Hospital and School of Medicine in London, England. she has also been involved in ground-breaking research involving mapping of the human retinal proteome, which will lead to an increased understanding of the mechanisms by which pathology in the eye develop.  Dr. Garg has authored scientific publications in peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals.

Dr. Garg’s special interests include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusion, retinal surgery, and ocular inflammation.

Dr. Brian Chon is an oculofacial plastic surgeon at Advanced Eye Care Center.
Dr. Chon graduated from Duke University for both his undergraduate and medical school training. He completed ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University where he served as chief resident. He further pursued fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic, in the highly competitive field of oculofacial plastic surgery (oculoplastics). There are approximately 25 fellows that graduate each year from American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowships. During his two-year ASOPRS fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Chon refined his clinical and surgical expertise in oculofacial plastic surgery.

Dr. Chon has written several peer-reviewed scientific publications and book chapters. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family. Dr. Chon specializes in the full range of oculoplastics conditions.

Dr. Jing Jing Feng grew up in Matawan, NJ, graduated Magna Cum Laude from The College of New Jersey, and received her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She completed a transitional year at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA. She went on to Northwell Health in Long Island to complete her ophthalmology training, where she was Chief Resident. Following residency, she practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in private practice in New Jersey. She is excited to join the Advanced Eye Care team to continue providing excellent and compassionate care to her patients.

Dr. Feng is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She also enjoys traveling and outdoor adventures.

Dr. Kei Sugahara received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. Following graduation, she went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease and Traumatic Brain Injury at Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, TX. She is a Diplomate with the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Sugahara strives to provide the best care possible for each and every patient. She sees patients for routine eye exams for glasses and contacts, evaluation and management of ocular diseases, and pre and post-operative surgical management. She cares about the well-being of our patients and takes a collaborative approach to treating and educating them on their eye conditions and treatment options.

Charles S. Reing, M.D., F.A.A.O. is Medical Director of Advanced Eye Care Center.

He is a graduate of Cornell University and New York University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Subsequently, he received additional fellowship training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Cornea, External Eye Disease and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Reing is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is licensed in New Jersey. Dr. Reing is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Reing is chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Wayne General Hospital. He is Medical Director of Advanced Eye Care Center and of the Bergen Passaic Cataract and LASER center. He maintains clinical privileges at Wayne General Hospital, Chilton Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, St. Barnabas Hospital and the Bergen-Passaic Cataract and LASER Center. Dr. Reing also has an academic appointment and clinical privileges at Mount Sinai Medical Center. For many years, Dr. Reing was actively involved in the surgical training of ophthalmology residents.

Dr. Reing’s special interests include corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, and refractive corneal surgery, including LASIK.

Dr. Reing has authored several scientific publications on ophthalmic topics. He has given lectures at national scientific meetings and authored a book chapter for an ophthalmology textbook.
