Dr. Charles Reing, M.D., F.A.A.O.
Charles S. Reing, M.D., F.A.A.O. is Medical Director of Advanced Eye Care Center.
He is a graduate of Cornell University and New York University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Subsequently, he received additional fellowship training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Cornea, External Eye Disease and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Reing is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is licensed in New Jersey. Dr. Reing is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Reing is chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Wayne General Hospital. He is Medical Director of Advanced Eye Care Center and of the Bergen Passaic Cataract and LASER center. He maintains clinical privileges at Wayne General Hospital, Chilton Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, St. Barnabas Hospital and the Bergen-Passaic Cataract and LASER Center. Dr. Reing also has an academic appointment and clinical privileges at Mount Sinai Medical Center. For many years, Dr. Reing was actively involved in the surgical training of ophthalmology residents.
Dr. Reing’s special interests include corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, and refractive corneal surgery, including LASIK.
Dr. Reing has authored several scientific publications on ophthalmic topics. He has given lectures at national scientific meetings and authored a book chapter for an ophthalmology textbook.
Dr. Kei Sugahara
Dr. Kei Sugahara received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. Following graduation, she went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease and Traumatic Brain Injury at Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, TX. She is a Diplomate with the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Sugahara strives to provide the best care possible for each and every patient. She sees patients for routine eye exams for glasses and contacts, evaluation and management of ocular diseases, and pre and post-operative surgical management. She cares about the well-being of our patients and takes a collaborative approach to treating and educating them on their eye conditions and treatment options.
