Dr. Bergeson received his undergraduate degree in microbiology from Northern Arizona University. He went on to attend Pacific University College of Optometry, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry and graduated with honors. After receiving his doctorate, he broadened his experience through his work at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.

For over 15 years, Dr. Bergeson has been with Mohave Eye Center offering full-scope eye care — from comprehensive vision exams to treatment of acute and chronic eye diseases. His favorite part of his job is going above and beyond to improve patients’ lives, no matter what it takes.

Known for his kindness, Dr. Ochiltree brings over a decade of experience to our practice. He’s skilled at providing post-operative care as well as eye disease management. Dr. Ochiltree graduated with honors from the University of Wyoming, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree having majored in zoology and physiology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from the Pacific University College of Optometry, where he also graduated with honors. His warm and friendly manner has enabled him to work with a wide variety of patients, and he is especially skilled at treating those with progressive eye diseases.

Before committing to a path in eye care, Dr. Mills obtained his bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Brigham Young University — Idaho. He then went on to attend Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University where he earned his Doctor of Optometry. In addition to gaining expertise in contact lenses and managing dry eye and other ocular diseases, he has served on several medical missions to provide eye care to those in need.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in biology from Utah Valley University, graduating with honors, Dr. Degn chose to pursue a career in eye care when he recalled how exciting it was to get his first pair of glasses. He then attended the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University where he achieved his Doctor of Optometry, also graduating with honors. To round out his education, Dr. Degn completed internships at Mohave Eye Center, Arizona College of Optometry, and the Eye Foundation of Utah.

After graduation, Dr. Degn worked as an eye care provider in both retail and private practices but wanted to return to a space where he could thoroughly diagnose and manage eye diseases — so he joined the Mohave Eye Center team in 2018!

Dr. Kargenian worked as an optometric and ophthalmic technician for 14 years, which is what motivated her to become an eye doctor. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in vision science from Ferris State University, and then attended Michigan College of Optometry, where she achieved her Doctor of Optometry. After graduating, Dr. Kargenian broadened her skills as an optometric extern with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and right here at Mohave Eye Center!

After gaining even more experience as an optometrist at another practice, she returned to Mohave Eye Center to provide a higher level of care to her patients. Dr. Kargenian imparts her extensive knowledge on her patients by educating them on how their eyes work and how they can protect them from ocular disease. Even outside the office, she continues to practice through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity.

Growing up, Dr. Widdison loved learning about science and the human body. This passion eventually led him to earn his Bachelor of Science in biology from Brigham Young University, before earning his Doctor of Optometry Degree from Southern College of Optometry. He’s well versed in all aspects of optometry, and is especially interested in fitting contact lenses, managing ocular disease, and performing primary eye care exams.

A skilled optometrist and pediatric eye doctor, Dr. Crook enjoys identifying highly accurate contact lens and glasses prescriptions and getting to know his patients during their appointments. He received his Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University before earning his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. He moved to Mohave County to raise his family and develop strong, lifelong relationships with his patients.

A successful eyewear specialist and optometrist focused on optical services, Dr. Crook is a community-focused eye doctor who knows how fully utilize Mohave Eye Center’s advanced diagnostic and treatment technology.

After earning his medical doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Jackson furthered his training in advanced eye surgery and medical management of the eye at the Texas Medical Center. He has worked in numerous private practices in the Las Vegas area, and even founded his own clinic, Prestige Laser & Cataract Institute, one of the first Swiss inspired full service ambulatory surgery centers for cataract surgery in the western United States. He was also a senior partner and owner of NV Eye Surgery in Las Vegas before moving to Arizona and joining Mohave Eye Care.

Dr. Jackson has dedicated his talents to helping the less fortunate see better in many ways, including through the medical missions he’s served in Africa, Guatemala, and Indonesia, and his participation in a pay-it-forward medical clinic. Furthering his commitment to the field, he has authored a research paper on advanced cataract surgery innovation and is the holder of a pending patent for new cataract surgery equipment. Dr. Jackson is constantly driven to improve his abilities with the latest techniques and technology, all while providing his signature compassionate care.
