Our Team
Brian Samartino, O.D.
Dr. Brian completed his undergraduate study with TriBeta honors in Biology at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.
During his studies at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Brian completed externships in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Alaska with clinical honors. Before establishing Premier Eye Associates, he practiced full time in the South Jersey area. During this time, he worked at an ophthalmology practice where he served as the contact lens specialist and practiced medical optometry including care for post operative cataract, retina and LASIK patients. Recently, he was awarded recognition in the Dry Eye community and was appointed to the advisory board for NovaBay's dry eye products.
Dr. Samartino, originally from South Jersey, currently lives in Philadelphia. His interests include watching movies, hiking, watching Philadelphia Union and US Mens National Team play soccer.
Professional interests include myopia management/orthokeratology, specialty contact lenses, keratoconus, ocular disease, dry eye treatment.
Dr. Brian sees patients at our Collingswood and Medford locations.
Tyler Mills, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Tyler graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Biology in 2007. He completed his Doctor of Optometry at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University where he earned clinical honors.
During this time, he rotated through the Baltimore Veteran’s Hospital and attended regular lectures at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Hospital. He then completed a residency specializing in ocular disease at the Wilmington Delaware Veteran’s Hospital. There he managed a large amount eye disease including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and cataracts.
Dr. Tyler earned his fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry in 2013, a distinction less than 10 percent of optometrists in the country achieve.
Dr. Tyler, Megan (his wife), and their daughters live in Haddonfield. In his free time, he enjoys watching Philadelphia sports, spending time with his wife and daughter, trying new restaurants, and spending time at the shore.
Professional interests include myopia control/orthokeratology, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye syndrome, and uveitis.

Marlee Silversmith, O.D.
Dr. Marlee completed her undergraduate study with honors in biology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry. Afterwards, she furthered her training by completing an extensive residency that covered ocular disease, low vision, contact lenses and traumatic brain injury at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC. Dr. Marlee is looking forward to bringing these specialties to her patients at Premier Eye Associates.
During her studies at SUNY College of Optometry, Dr. Marlee completed externships in private practice, SUNY’s specialty clinics, and the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. These externships focused on many specialties such as ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, pediatrics, primary care, myopia control, dry eye, and vision therapy.
Dr. Marlee is a native Floridian and was born and raised in originally Boca Raton, FL. She currently lives locally with her husband. Her interests include exploring new cities, trying new foods/restaurants, and going to fitness classes.
Professional interests include low vision, traumatic brain injury, dry eye, keratoconus and geriatric care

Alisha Kothari, O.D.
Dr. Alisha attended Fordham University’s Manhattan campus, where she completed her degree in Natural Science. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
During her time in Optometry school, Dr. Alisha received Clinical Honors in each rotation. These included Sports Vision/Vision Therapy, Pediatrics, Speciality Contact Lenses, and Disease Management.
Originally from South Jersey, Dr. Alisha is happy to be back home to be able to spend time with her local friends, family, and dog, Mili. She loves cooking, baking, and finding new favorite spots to eat. She’s also happy to be back in the neighborhood to continue supporting her favorite Philly sports teams.
Professional interests include Sports Vision/Vision Therapy, Pediatrics, and Ocular Disease Management.
Dr. Alisha sees patients at our Marlton and Collingswood locations.
