Dr. Anthony Sesto brings a deep connection to the community and a passion for full-scope eye care. After graduating from South Lake High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology/pre-optometry from Ferris State University and received his Doctor of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry, graduating with honors in 2016. During his clinical training, he completed rotations at Dorn V.A. Hospital in South Carolina and Duane Waters Hospital in Michigan, where he gained advanced experience managing ocular disease, keratoconus, low vision, and surgical co-management.

Before joining Normandy Optical, Dr. Sesto practiced in a multi-specialty ophthalmology setting, where he developed deep expertise in medical eye care, including the treatment and long-term management of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, cataracts, dry eye, and macular degeneration. Today, he leads with that same clinical precision — offering comprehensive exams for patients of all ages and specializing in complex contact lens fittings, including scleral lenses for keratoconus, post-surgical corneal conditions, and severe dry eye.

Dr. Sesto also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Michigan College of Optometry, where he mentors optometry residents in clinical settings. Residents often work alongside him in the office, contributing to a collaborative and educational care environment for patients.

His skill and reputation have earned him ongoing referrals from regional ophthalmology leaders, including Kresge Eye Institute, particularly for patients needing specialty lenses for corneal dystrophies, Sjögren’s syndrome, and graft-versus-host disease. Dr. Sesto is also an active member of the Michigan Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and multiple charitable organizations dedicated to advancing access to vision care.

Outside the office, Dr. Sesto enjoys time outdoors — golfing, boating, and spending weekends up north with his wife, Jessica, and their three young children: AJ, Juliet, and Maria.

A proud De La Salle graduate, Dr. John Chrustowski has deep roots in Southeast Michigan and a firm commitment to serving the communities that shaped him. He studied biology at Ferris State University and was accepted into the Michigan College of Optometry through its early admittance program, later earning his Doctor of Optometry degree with high honors in 2018. He also holds a degree in Vision Science.

During his clinical training, Dr. Chrustowski completed rotations in specialty contact lenses right here at Normandy Optical, pediatric and primary care at Henry Ford OptimEyes, and ocular disease at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. These experiences shaped his full-scope approach to care — one that blends precise diagnostics with a strong patient-first philosophy.

Today, Dr. Chrustowski sees patients across multiple Normandy Optical locations and provides comprehensive care for all ages. His clinical interests include managing dry eye disease, myopia control, and the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Sesto is someone I genuinely trust when it comes to my scleral lenses. From the first visit, it was clear he knows exactly what he’s doing—he takes his time, pays attention to the smallest details, and makes sure the fit is right, not just “good enough.” What stood out most is how thorough he is. He doesn’t rush the process, and he explains everything in a way that actually makes sense. With something as sensitive as scleral lenses, that level of care matters a lot. You can tell he’s experienced and takes pride in getting it right. He also listens. If something feels off or uncomfortable, he takes it seriously and works with you until it’s resolved. That kind of patience and attention is hard to find. Overall, if you’re dealing with specialty lenses or anything complex with your eyes, Dr. Sesto is someone you can feel confident putting your trust in.
