Our Team
Dr. Abigail Delahanty, O.D., BSc
Dr. Delahanty, a cum laude graduate from Simmons College, holds a Psychobiology BSc and an Optometry Doctorate from Salus University. Her experience spans working with Native Americans in Albuquerque, NM, managing ocular diseases at the VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC, and developing a passion for low vision at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia. With expertise in contact lens fitting and vision therapy, she gained valuable experience at North Park Vision Center, CO. Today, Dr. Delahanty is a dedicated eye doctor at Maine Optometry.
Dr. Rachel Achenbach, O.D., BSc
Dr. Achenbach earned a BS in biological sciences from the University of New England and a Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She interned at Manchester VA Medical Center, specializing in ocular disease. Her internships at Family Eyecare Associates and The Eye Institute provided experience in pediatric eye care, developmental optometry, vision therapy, and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Emily Leach, O.D.
Dr. Emily Leach earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry after completing her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Saskatchewan. She is licensed to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, and Alberta. Dr. Leach provides comprehensive primary eye care and has extensive experience managing complex dry eye, ocular surface disease, and anterior segment conditions requiring specialty contact lenses.
