Our Team
Dr. Tahmina Arieb, HBsc, O.D.
Dr. Tahmina Arieb is a therapeutic licensed optometrist whose expertise lies in family practice with special interest in diabetic eye care, ocular disease, urgent care, glaucoma co-management, postoperative care, and pediatrics. Dr. Arieb graduated from University of Toronto with an Honors Bachelors of Science in Human Biology and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her training with internships at Veterans affair hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, Boston Ophthalmic consultants in Northern Virginia, Dimock Community Health center in Boston, and Perkins school for the blind in Watertown, Massachusetts. Dr. Arieb had the privilege of volunteering by providing primary eye care, glasses and treatment for under-served populations in the greater Boston community and more recently served as one of four optometrist on a humanitarian mission with VOSH to La Barca, Mexico.
Dr. Arieb and her husband have a little girl and a little boy. When she is not busy playing and taking care of them, she loves to cook and try new dishes. She also loves to relax regularly by practicing yoga, swimming and reading.
Dr. Daniel Rubin O. D.
Dr. Daniel Rubin brings a warm and dedicated approach to eye care at Little Lake Family Eye Care. He began his academic journey at York University, earning a Specialized Honours degree in Biology, and went on to achieve his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2015. Dr. Rubin's perseverance and dedication were recognized with the prestigious RACH memorial award for his remarkable courage and strength.
Throughout his studies, Dr. Rubin gained extensive clinical experience through various internships in Toronto, focusing on ocular diseases like macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He has a keen interest in ocular disease, pediatrics, and contact lens fitting and care.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Rubin enjoys a vibrant family life with his wife and two sons. He loves to immerse himself in music, acting, and singing, and he cherishes spending time outdoors. Dr. Rubin looks forward to meeting patients of all ages and providing them with high-quality, personalized eye care. His blend of professional expertise and genuine care makes him a valued member of the Little Lake Family Eye Care team and a trusted provider in the community.
