Dr. Odineal graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry and has more than 40 years of experience in the field of optometry. Her professional background includes research in contact lens design, primary eye care, and group practice before dedicating her career to specialty vision care.

Driven by a passion for helping children reach their full potential, Dr. Odineal pursued advanced training in developmental and behavioral optometry. Through this specialized education, she developed expertise in treating visual disorders that affect learning, development, and overall quality of life. By using individualized combinations of prescription lenses, contact lenses, prism lenses, and vision therapy, she helps patients develop more efficient visual processing and binocular vision skills.

As her work with children expanded, Dr. Odineal recognized a similar need among patients recovering from acquired brain injuries. This led her to pursue advanced training in vision rehabilitation for individuals affected by concussion, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions. She utilizes specialized lenses, prism, occlusion, therapeutic tints, vision therapy, and Optometric Light Therapy to support visual rehabilitation and help optimize visual function and neurological recovery.

Dr. Odineal specializes in the evaluation and treatment of conditions including strabismus (eye turns), amblyopia (lazy eye), post-concussion visual dysfunction, stroke-related vision disorders, binocular vision dysfunction (BVD), and visually related learning difficulties. Her practice is a referral-based specialty clinic focused exclusively on developmental vision care and neuro-optometric rehabilitation rather than routine primary eye care.

In 2013, Dr. Odineal earned Fellowship status in the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (FOVDRA), one of the profession's highest recognitions for advanced competency in vision therapy and rehabilitation. This distinction reflects extensive postgraduate education, clinical expertise, and commitment to excellence in patient care. She is also available for professional speaking engagements and educational presentations.

Outside the office, Dr. Odineal is deeply committed to humanitarian service. More than 25 years ago, she and her husband, together with their young children, began participating in annual mission trips to Mexico through Amor Ministries. Initially serving by helping build homes for families in need, Dr. Odineal later established a volunteer vision clinic that provides comprehensive eye examinations and free eyeglasses to underserved communities. Each year, her team donates reading glasses, sunglasses, and prescription eyewear to individuals who otherwise would not have access to vision care. This mission continues annually and remains one of the most meaningful aspects of her professional and personal life.
