Fox Chase Family Eye Care

Dr. Uri Schechter is a highly skilled and compassionate optometrist dedicated to providing exceptional vision care to the Philadelphia community. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he also completed an Advanced Studies program in Contact Lenses, specializing in the fitting of complex and specialty contact lenses. Before pursuing his optometric education, Dr. Schechter attended Towson University in Baltimore.

With extensive training in both medical and specialty eye care, Dr. Schechter provides comprehensive services for patients of all ages. He has a strong clinical focus on managing dry eye disease, diabetic eye care, and glaucoma. He is also an advocate for advanced vision solutions like Neurolens®, which not only improves visual clarity but also enhances comfort and overall quality of life for his patients.

Dr. Schechter is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Bucks-Montgomery Optometric Society. He regularly participates in professional conferences and continuing education courses to remain at the forefront of emerging research, diagnostic tools, and treatment technologies. His commitment to lifelong learning ensures that his patients benefit from the most up-to-date, evidence-based eye care available.

Known for his warm personality and approachable manner, Dr. Schechter takes the time to truly connect with each patient, listening to their concerns and tailoring treatment to meet their individual needs.
