Dr. Joey Tran began his academic journey in Clinical Laboratory Science at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2007.

He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2013. As a dedicated member of the Scleral Lens Education Society, Dr. Tran is passionate about providing exceptional eye care. He takes pride in building strong, lasting relationships with his patients, ensuring each individual receives personalized and compassionate attention.

Dr. Tran specializes in fitting scleral lenses for patients with keratoconus—a process he finds especially rewarding as it significantly improves vision and quality of life. He is also highly skilled in fitting Orthokeratology lenses, offering an effective option for myopia control in both children and adults.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Tran enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two young sons. He’s actively involved in their golf and tennis activities and enjoys biking and riding his Vespa when time allows. He warmly welcomes both new and returning patients and looks forward to helping you see your world more clearly.

Dr. Hoa Nguyen is a dedicated therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, proudly serving the Texas community with advanced eye care.

A Plano native, Dr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Business from the University of Texas at Dallas. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he was recognized with clinical letters of excellence in Ocular Diagnostic & Medical Eye Service and Primary Care.

Licensed by the Texas Optometry Board to practice at the highest level of optometry, Dr. Nguyen brings extensive clinical training to his work. He completed externships at Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and at York Eye Associates, a private practice in Gainesville, Texas.

These experiences deepened his expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, and cataracts, along with LASIK co-management.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Nguyen is a devoted member of the Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, where he also serves as a youth leader. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, running, and exploring new restaurants throughout the metroplex—all while cherishing time spent with family and friends.

Dr. Malak Hameed earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Her clinical training included rotations at Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth and East Dallas Family Eye Care, where she provided full-scope optometric services with a strong focus on ocular disease management, dry eye treatment, and pre- and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK, and retinal surgery patients.

Dr. Hameed is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and personalized eye care for every patient. She emphasizes clear communication, patient education, and building long-term relationships founded on trust and compassion.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys traveling, exploring new coffee shops, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
