    Dr. Raman Thind-Gill has been practicing Optometry since 2011. She was born and raised in Edmonton, where she was enrolled in her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta. She then travelled overseas to study Optometry and graduated from Aston University (UK) with a BSc (Hons) MC Optom. Upon her return to Canada, Dr. Thind-Gill graduated from the University of Waterloo’s International Optometric Bridging Program. 

    Dr. Thind-Gill’s keen interest in Optometry began during her time as an assistant at a local optometry clinic while in university. This experience motivated her to become an optometrist dedicated to enhancing patients’ lives through improved vision and eye health. She is particularly interested in dry eye therapy, a crucial area given Alberta’s dry climate. Since founding EyeCU Optometry in 2014, Dr. Thind-Gill has built strong patient relationships and expanded the practice to offer a broad range of services. She is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, ensuring she can connect with a diverse patient base.

    Outside of her practice, Dr. Thind-Gill cherishes time with her family, including her husband, two children, and their dog.

    It was my first experience at Eye C U Optometry. The clinic is very nice and uses current technology for the eye exam, which was quite fun using VR for part of the exam and much easier as the user. The reception staff were very friendly and not pushy with sales as experienced at other clinics. Of upmost importance Dr.Raman was kind, friendly professional and very informative. She took the time to explain things thoroughly and answer any questions in a digestible manor. It is very obvious she genuinely cares about her patients and preventative health. I also appreciate her conservative approach to intervention with the patient experience in mind. Dr.Raman is refreshing at a time when healthcare professionals simply don’t have the time to make their patients feel seen and heard with all their questions answered. I will definitely be recommending Eye C U to friends/family. We are looking forward to brining our little one in when they’re old enough.

    It was my first time visiting the store this week, and I had a great experience. Aziza was extremely knowledgeable about the different frames and helped me find styles that suited my face. She also showed me options at several different price points, which made it easy to choose the best pair based on my needs and budget. Dr. Raman was incredibly patient and took the time to clearly explain the results of my eye exam and answer all of my questions. I left feeling confident that I had all the information I needed. Overall, a great first experience. I really appreciated the friendly, knowledgeable service from both Aziza and Dr. Raman!
