    Dr. Bourgoin is the other half of our powerhouse team of eye doctors. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Bourgoin boasts an incredible skill set and undeniable commitment to eye care in the Costa Mesa / Newport Beach community.

    He graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry, and this was only the beginning of his journey navigating wellness. Dr. Bourgoin’s passion for healthcare starts with his own health journey, which includes surviving stage 4 lymphoma and undergoing two kidney transplants, making his work in healthcare all the more personal.

    When he’s not working, he can be found spending time with his wife, Dr. Yoo, as they travel and embark on outdoor adventures.

    Dr. Jean is an undeniable cornerstone of our practice with an unwavering passion and commitment to eyecare.

    Dr. Jean is a Seoul native, born and raised in Korea until she was 7, when her family moved to Los Angeles. She obtained her undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara before attending the UC Berkeley School of Optometry, where she secured her Doctor of Optometry and graduated in 1993.

    With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Jean is a powerhouse of knowledge, constantly striving to help people find solutions to their ocular issues, no matter how complex. She has a keen interest in contact lenses and the comfort they bring her patients.

    Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her three grown sons, sewing, traveling, and caring for her dog.

Getting glasses when needed is always hassle free and low pressure! I really appreciate the office staff too! They’re always ready to help with adjusting eyewear and any insurance need.There are a lot of choices out there, but there is none better than Custom Eyes!
