Dr. Barbra R. Johnson grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland where she attended Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School and is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio. She obtained her optometric degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.
Dr. Johnson started her optometric journey when she assisted her father at his optometric practice. Returning back to her hometown of Chevy Chase, she brings thirty plus years of experience in eye disease management, visual correction, and a personal approach to styled and expertly fitted eyewear offered on site. Dr. Johnson is a member of the Maryland Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and serves as the Central Maryland Optometric Society President. She was a past member of Johnson and Johnson's Acuvue Brand Speaker Bureau.

For the past several years, she has been volunteering and participating at the Montgomery County 4-H Fair which offers free vision screening.
Dr. Johnson lives in Potomac, MD with her husband, daughter and 3 rescue dogs. The family enjoys spending time together hiking, boating, gardening and listening to music. She is an avid reader and on the Board of the Potomac Bridle and Hiking Trails Association.
