    Dr. Shawn Muldoon graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry and now serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the Cornea and Contact Lens Service within the college. Due to his professorship within the university and his membership in the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Society, Dr. Muldoon is committed to remaining current on state of the art technology and procedures. Dr. Muldoon performs a number of different services, including eye examinations, optical frames dispensary, and dry eye/tear tests. He specializes in hard to fit contact lenses, ocular disease, laser vision correction, and primary care optometry. With a caring and friendly demeanor, Dr. Muldoon knows how to put patients at ease and make them feel well informed about their treatment. When he is not working, Dr. Muldoon enjoys cycling, soccer, and spending time with his family.

    I had an excellent experience at Briargrove Eye Center. The examination was much more comprehensive than any eye exam I've had before. He performed several binocular vision tests, carefully compared different prism corrections, and had me evaluate reading comfort and image alignment throughout the process. As someone who spends long hours working on a computer, I really appreciated the attention to detail and personalized care. Dr. Muldoon was patient, detail-oriented, and explained his findings clearly. I left feeling that he genuinely wanted to identify the root cause of my symptoms rather than just prescribe stronger lenses. I highly recommend Briargrove Eye Center to anyone looking for a thorough, professional eye examination!

    Dr Muldoon treats every patient as if they are royalty! He has kind words for everyone while he conducts his thorough examinations! His staff is also polite, friendly, and professional! We and other family members have been his patients for many years! Anytime we have had problems with our frames, we can bring them in for adjustment on a walk-in basis! It is indeed rare to find such a service oriented eye clinic!

He explains everything so you are not confused. He is patient and a joy to see. He cares about his patients. This office is really not close to my area but it is very much worth my peace and health to visit him. Best experience every time.

    First time patient with an eye infection who was treated like I’ve been going here my entire life. Got me on the schedule immediately, got me scheduled for a follow up immediately. Everyone is the office was kind and helpful. Dr. M himself is great! Kind, funny and intuitive. It is obvious he is experienced. I feel so lucky to have found this office and will be returning for my regular eye exams in the future. 10/10 recommend.
