Dr Mckenzie, and her team, have been amazing at helping me recover from my post-concussion symptoms that affect my vision. Dr McKenzie is phenomenal. I have been gifted by her wisdom with head injury. Victoria, has been my vision therapist since 2019. She has hands down helped me in so many different ways move through the process of post concussion syndrome. Her knowledge, experience, and hope make me feel safe and empowered (if you suffer with pcs you can relate to how disempowering you can feel). Bolton Optometry has a special place in my heart as I trudge this recovery road.

Recently, a visiting family member, required an emergency optometry visit due to flashes of light and floaters in an eye. This could be the sign of a detached Retina so immediate action was crucial. After a phone call to a local office, we were directed to the Bolton Optometry Clinic and explained the situation. The family member was advised to make their way over as soon as possible and they would fit them in between patients. Maria, the first line worker, was calm, reassuring, comforting and professional. Upon arriving, the same impression was visible, and her smile indicated that the staff would do everything possible to assess the situation and get to the next steps. Cecil, the resident, was courteous and explained the procedure. Dr. McKenzie oversaw his assessment and continued on. No immediate next steps would be required, and a potentially serious situation was not to be had. The best part was that they informed the family member’s regular optometrist of the visit and outcome and did not charge for the visit. Since a year had not passed since the client’s previous visit at home, OHIP would only cover a portion of the visit. Bolton Optometry covered the balance, and we were sent on our way. They also agreed to take on our family as clients since we’d just moved into the area. KOODOS to the Bolton Optometry Clinic and all their staff. We would recommend them to everyone!

The staff at this clinic are all warm and welcoming. The expertise and equipment that they offer here surpasses most clinics. We drive from nearly an hour away to attend vision therapy weekly and are so impressed with the results that we have switched our primary eye care for the family to this office for all our vision needs. Thank you so much to Dr. Donati for helping us be set at ease and explaining our options in a gentle, kind and informed manner. Her ability surpasses the specialist we were sent to previously! You will be treated well and in good hands at this clinic.
