At our office, our goal is to improve or enhance visual performance for maximizing function, such as reading, writing, dressing, scanning to locate items, sports involving eye-hand coordination and driving. We believe in complimenting the rehabilitation process by helping each individual to achieve his/her highest level of visual function in order to attain the goals established by the rehabilitation team. Through evaluation and treatment, we strive to provide the highest level of care for the complete visual information processing system so that each individual may be able to engage in any activity that provides meaning and purpose to his/her life.
"Those surviving traumatic head injuries and cerebrovascular accidents, 75% require some form of rehabilitation. Of these, 50% experience some form of visual deficit." (Gianulsos, et al., Arch Phys Med rehab, 1988)
