The Pediatric and Vision Therapy Services are staffed by nationally recognized optometrists. Most faculty have advanced degrees and are diplomates in the American Academy of Optometry and fellows of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. In addition, they are leaders in clinical research leading to improvement in treating visual disorders. They author textbooks and contribute to the vision science literature. Our full-time faculty includes Doctors Rouse, Cotter, Borsting, Griffin, Barnhardt, Kwon, Shin, and Lee.
The Eye Care Clinic at The Southern California College of Optometry provides:
- Primary vision care of the pediatric patient (infant to 18 years of age)
- Specialized vision care of patients with developmental disabilities
- Treatment for nonstrabismic binocular vision, accommodative, and ocular motility problems (eye teaming, focusing, and tracking disorders
- Treatment for
Strabismus (eye turns) and
Amblyopia (lazy eye)
- Treatment for
Learning-related Vision Problems, including
ADD/ADHD,
Dyslexia,
Reading, and
Tracking Problems, etc.
- Treatment for Computer-related vision problems, including Nearsightedness, Headaches or Computer Vision Syndrome
- Visual Rehabilitation for brain injury-related vision problems
- Sports Vision Correction and/or Improvement
